What shoe cabinet should we buy?

The new season is coming and most of us are wondering again where to put all the shoes. We start collecting everything in boxes and envelopes, because there is no more space in our home. The solution to this problem is a shoe cabinet. As part of the interior, we must seriously we approach the choice of such a piece of furniture, because in addition to serving to store all our shoes, this cabinet will be seen by each of our guests. Let's look at all the options and ideas together.
Before buying our shoe cabinet, it is necessary to consider many factors, but the most important of them are how many pairs of shoes we will have to "house" and how much space we have for the cabinet itself. Here we can choose from ready-made solutions on the Internet or choose a craftsman to make our shoe cabinet individually. Made to order is necessary when we have too little or non-standard space to place a cabinet or we want a unique design. One thing is certain, that the price of handmade furniture is higher compared to ready-made furniture. My closet at home was custom-made with doors, because I had very little space, and the craftsman advised me to make the shelves in the closet with an inclination of 45 degrees so that I could store as many pairs of shoes as possible. Of course, if you have a large space, there are no restrictions in front of you. You can choose any size or design of the shoe cabinet. The shoe wardrobe must meet several criteria. First of all, it must be strong enough to take the entire weight of the shoes in it. Choose a material that is as thick as possible. Cheap options are usually made of thin and easily broken material .It is very important that the cabinet is made of a material that does not get dirty easily, because we will still put shoes on it and it should be easy to clean. The quality of the material is important in another respect as well. This is a shoe cabinet and will there is moisture for sure in there, so the material must be resistant to moisture, but at the same time allow the space inside to be well ventilated to prevent the development of any fungus and mold on our shoes. Regarding the height, you can choose any options. There are both low and high available. If of course you live in a small apartment, choose low so that you can put something else on the cabinet, such as a mirror for example. Regarding the opening and closing mechanism, you also have a wide variety .You can open the cabinet with hinged doors or with sliding mechanisms. In my case, however, the position of the front door prevented me from using sliding mechanisms and I settled on a standard opening with doors. The color of the cabinet is also important for the overall interior. You can choose the same color as the furniture, or if it is in the corridor and there is no other furniture nearby, you can choose a color such as the laminate or tiles.
What are these cabinets actually made of? To make a shoe cabinet, MDF or chipboard is most often used. The surfaces are treated with special materials to last as long as possible and are varnished in the desired color. These are of course the cheapest options and I recommend them to you, but only in private cases. There are also models made of PVC or aluminum, which, however, are a little more expensive. Modern shoe cabinets are equipped with all kinds of extras. There are cabinets with hidden lighting that turns on when the door is opened. They are suitable for places ,where there is no window or other light. There are those that have pockets for fragrances, which is also an advantage, considering that shoes often have an unpleasant smell. As you can see, I have listed only a small part of all the models on the market, so the choice it won't be easy for you, but hopefully it will be the right one.
