How to choose an umbrella for the garden?

There are a number of factors to consider when choosing an umbrella for the garden. What we will use the umbrella for, how and where it will be placed. It is also very important to consider whether the umbrella will be fixed outside all year round or will be easily portable.

If you want an umbrella to protect you in the summer around the pool, then you should choose thin models that are easy to install and remove. The rotation of the upper part is also important. The material from which it is made is also important, since poor-quality umbrellas break easily and their material burns quickly from the sun. The most common materials are polyester, which is durable and successfully hides sunlight, but more expensive products are made of acrylic, which has the ability to keep its color for a long time. There are also covers made of cotton. Keep in mind that even the most expensive umbrella fabrics will not completely protect you from solar radiation and you will have to periodically enter the house in the shade.

The other type of umbrella is one that is mounted with weights to the ground. The weight must be adapted to the climatic conditions and, above all, to the wind. If it is not installed correctly, there is a high probability that with the next stronger wind you will be looking for the umbrella in the neighbor's yard or to take it out of the pool. Choose the right size, so that it does not turn out that for some there will be no place under the umbrella. You can choose either a round or square umbrella. Square umbrellas are recommended if you will place a table under it. The choice is huge , you can find all kinds of models and colors. There are also products with built-in light or curtains. Choose wisely and according to your needs!

Cheaper umbrellas are usually made of aluminum. Its advantages are that it is light and can be carried anywhere, and it will not rust. Of course, there are disadvantages. Aluminum umbrella is not resistant to winds and can be easily broken. This is where an umbrella made of steel comes to the rescue. Its strength makes it absolutely suitable for any weather conditions. Of course, it is heavier than the aluminum one and you cannot swing it around. For fans of organic materials, there are also models made of wood. The advantages of this option are that it looks much more beautiful and natural, but you will have to protect the wood a lot, because as we know, moisture is the biggest enemy of a wooden structure

It doesn't matter if our garden umbrella is cheap or expensive. If we want it to serve us faithfully for as long as possible, it needs care and maintenance. Maintenance includes:
1. Cleaning of dust and dirt (If it is wooden, it needs a special preparation)
2. Proper drying. If you decide to put away your umbrella during the winter season, make sure that it is completely dry and clean, because you risk it becoming moldy and you cannot use it anymore. It is not difficult to take care of the things we like.
